The building
3S Kale Topkapı is a residential development in central Istanbul. The developers wanted smart living and centralized security to arrive as one system across every unit, not as two products that happen to share a wall.
The problem
The brief asked for intercom, home automation and central security merged, with IR-based climate control and remote access from a phone. Safety-critical events — fire, gas leak, water intrusion — had to reach a central control station in real time, not just sound locally.
What was installed
- 10 SQ touch panels as the hub in each apartment, carrying every function on one screen.
- NIO actuators driving lighting, electrical contacts and shutters.
- IRGW-UP for IR air-conditioning control, with daily scenarios built on top.
Results
- Two-way voice to the security point and live video of visitors and vehicles from IP cameras, on the panel.
- Curtains, lighting and air conditioning automated by scene from the same interface.
- Remote control and scheduling from the mobile app, wherever the resident is.
- Immediate fire, gas and flood alerts to building security, so response time does not depend on someone being home.
- Scene control and scheduled VRF operation keeping energy use tied to actual occupancy.
